Practicums
Summary
A Practicum is a course type that allows students to get hands-on experience in their area of study. In Align, students can choose time slots from a list of available slots. Instructors can create time slots as well as manage students and attendance for the practicum. This article provides an overview of creating and managing Practicums, time slots, signups, and attendance.
You need the Courses Permission to build Practicums.

Create a Practicum
A Practicum is configured in a similar way to other Classes. When the Practicum Course Type is selected, an additional configuration box enables the user to set the required hours for the whole course or for each week of the course. Time slot signup times are also configurable.

Time Slots
A Time Slot is a specific time within a practicum that a student can sign up for. Time slots can be On Campus or Online. They can also be capped at a certain number of students. Time slots are managed on the Time Slots screen.
