Parent Chooses Child Start Date (K-12)
K-12 school staff can now set which start dates are available for parents to select when enrolling each of their children in the admissions process. The date selected for this field would then be used to determine what payment plan installments (from the tuition package step) would apply to each child. Any installments from the payment plan in the tuition agreement step that are before the start date selected would not apply to the children on the tuition agreement. This allows families who enroll part of the way through the school year to pay only for the portion of school for which they are enrolled.
Staff users can specify Start Date Cutoff Days in order to prevent applicants from selecting a start date if they apply within a certain number of days before the start date. For example, if your staff need 5 days from receiving an application before a child can start classes, you can specify 5 for the Cutoff Days and only start dates that are at least 5 days in the future will appear as options for families in the admissions process.
Direct Apply Link for Academic Years (K-12)
K-12 school staff can now access a "Direct Apply" link for specific academic years. Sharing this link will enable families to land on the signup page with that academic year already selected, instead of having to select from all of the academic years with open applications. Staff users can access the "Direct Apply" link on the Academic Years page.
Offline Payment Receipts
You can now log an offline payment (made through Quickbooks, charter school, etc) on Align and the default will be that the student does not receive a receipt. This is to avoid confusion of duplicate receipts if the student has already received a receipt from the offline payment method at the time of the transaction, and the transaction is then later being recorded in Align. If you would like to send a receipt to the student for the offline payment anyway, you can check the box "Send Payment Receipt".
Placeholder - Link to Student Dashboard
You can now utilize the dynamic placeholder {{student_binder.staff_url}} in automations to link directly to a student's dashboard. An example of where this can be helpful is when sending automated emails to staff members that a new student has enrolled, this placeholder will give them the direct link to be able to view that student, review their admissions, review their finances, etc.
