Grading Assignments Submitted Outside of Align
Introducing a new feature that offers a quick option to enter and track grades for assignments which are turned in outside of Align. On the Grading Summary page, staff users can now select "Pass" or "Fail" for pass/fail assignments or enter grade points for graded assignments, going down the list to enter grades for all students in the class on the same page.
Stripe Metadata Update
For schools utilizing Stripe as their payment processor, Align now includes the Finance Class name associated with the fee that a payment in made toward when sending transactional metadata to Stripe. This update enables revenue recognition to be accurately recorded per finance class.
Parents View Child's Grades (K-12)
Parents now have the capability to click "Grades" on their child's card to view the classes in which their child is enrolled, the child's cumulative grades in their classes, and their child's grades for each assignment per class. To enable this feature, please contact Align Support.
Student Class Dashboard Configurable by Cohort
Introducing a new student dashboard solely focusing on the classes in which a student is enrolled! The default dashboard that students have used historically displays a card for My Overview, My Classes, My Homework, and My Finances, with Announcements and My Inbox sections listed below the cards. The new class dashboard displays a card for each class that the student is enrolled in, with a progress bar below indicating their progress through lessons and assignments, with Announcements and My Inbox sections listed below the class cards. Their overview, homework, and finances are still accessible in the student menu.
The student dashboard is configurable when editing the cohort's settings. Staff users can choose to override the default student dashboard which applies to all of the school's cohorts. If you would like the dashboard for all of your cohorts to be the new class dashboard instead of the default dashboard, please contact Align support.
