Staff Updates

Auto-Expire Discounts

Staff users can now configure discounts to have an auto-expiration date depending on if students have made payments to reduce their fee balance to either a specific amount or a specific percentage of their fee by the specified date. By using this feature in conjunction with the tuition agreement step, this now allows schools to automatically apply pay-in-full discounts to those who agree to pay their whole tuition by a certain date, and the system will automatically void the discount for those students who do not pay the required amount by the specified date. Reach out to Align support if you need any assistance in setting up your school with a Tuition Agreement step or with a pay-in-full discount.

Duplicate Assignments

Staff users can now duplicate an assignment to re-use it in the same class or duplicate it to use in another class. When editing the assignment, there is now an "Actions" button at the top right of the page. Clicking that button will allow staff users to either edit the questions of the assignment or duplicate the assignment.

Admissions Step Display Rule for Parent Tag (K-12)

Staff users can now create a display rule for an admissions step specific to the parent's tag

Admissions Step Display Rule by Academic Year (K-12)

Staff users can now create a display rule for an admissions step specific to the academic year for parents.

Staff Visibility on Parent Fees (K-12)

Staff users can now view all payments made on a family's account on the parent's Payment History page, including payments made on parent fees (a payment on a fee concerning the entire family instead of specific to an individual student). Clicking the receipt for a parent fee from this page now allows staff users the option to refund the parent fee through Align.

Student Updates

Billing Details Page (Vocational)

Students in vocational schools now have a Billing Details page in their My Finances page of their account. This page allows students to see payment methods that they have saved on file, add additional payment methods, delete payment methods, and change the default payment method for their account.

Streamlined Admissions Process (K-12)

We've made adjustments to the appearance of the admissions process for families. Instead of the parent steps and student steps appearing in two separate places, all admissions steps now appear in a streamlined order, with student steps immediately following the "Add Children" step.

Require Parent Password Upon Account Creation (K-12)

Parents will now be required to create a password when they create their account to begin registration in Align, instead of receiving an email that prompts them to come back and create a password within 48 hours. They will now receive an email upon account creation that includes their login credentials for future reference.

Saved Card on Tuition Agreement Step (K-12)

Families that already have a saved card on file will no longer be prompted to re-enter their card information when they reach the Tuition Agreement step. The step will automatically use the default card they have on file.

Radio Buttons for Payment Amount on Payment Page

We've added radio buttons on the payment page for the payment amount. Instead of typing in the amount to pay, students can now select from the amount that is due for their next payment plan installment, their total amount owed, or choose to enter another amount to pay.

Bug Fixes

Duplicating Fields in Questionnaire

This bug fix addressed an error that occurred when duplicating "Select" fields in a questionnaire and then saving the questionnaire.
