Staff Updates

Adjust Final Grade for Graded Classes

We've solidified the logic of grade calculations and reinstated the ability for staff users to be able to adjust the calculated final grade for students in graded classes. The student's grade will then appear to staff as being adjusted, and the original calculated grade data will remain accessible to the staff in case they would like to revert the student's grade back to the system-calculated grade which is based purely on the grades the student earned on assignments. Final grades can only be adjusted for students who have a course enrollment status of Completed or Failed. If you would like to adjust the grade for a student who is Enrolled in a class, you must first change their enrollment status on the student list page of the class. To adjust a student's final grade, click on the student's Grade Details button on the class's student list, then click Actions on the top right of the page, and select Adjust Final Grade from the dropdown.

Rename and Archive Saved Views

Staff users can now rename their saved views, instead of having to create a new saved view with the same filters but a different name. Staff can also now archive a saved view. Since saved views that have been used for mass messaging cannot be deleted, this new option allows staff users to clean up their saved views list to only view the currently relevant filtered views that are needed. To adjust your saved views, click the plus button next to the saved views dropdown menu on the the student list, click Manage your Saved Views, and click the edit button next to the saved view you'd like to adjust.

Student Updates

Resources Inaccessible for Incoming Status Types

We've updated which student status types have access to a school's published resources. Previously, both incoming (such as Applicant) and active (such as Accepted and Student) status types had access to the resources that had been published to their school year in their student menu. We've restricted that access so that incoming status types will not be able to access resources until their status is changed to an active status type. This update was made to provide more security for resources to only be viewed by legitimate students of a school.

Class Signup Step Logic Update

Previously, students could complete the class signup step in their admissions process and, as long as they had not yet made a payment towards their class fee balance and the class change window was still open, the students could go back to add or exchange their classes on the class signup step. We've adjusted the logic for class signups so that if the "Allow Students to Change Classes" button is not checked on the configuration of the step, a student will not be able to change classes on their own, regardless of whether or not they've made a payment.

Bug Fixes

Payment Button on Mobile

We fixed a bug where the button to make a payment on a mobile device was being hidden behind other text blocks.

Note / PDF Field Conditional on Forms

Previously a new Note/PDF field on a questionnaire form would appear constantly, even with display rules attached to make it a conditional field. Our team has now addressed the issue so that the conditionality function works for Note/PDF fields.
