Credit Card Refunds

Credit cards can be refunded in the system by viewing the details/receipt for the credit card transaction. From there, you will have two options depending on whether a transaction has settled. A transaction becomes settled when the payment processor confirms with the authorizing bank that the payment and credits your account.

Unsettled transactions can be Voided. Settled Transactions can be Refunded. The action button will change based on whether or not a transaction has been settled.

You can also make Partial Refunds to credit cards. This may be needed when you only need to refund a part payment based on a reduced charge or a student leaving school and qualifying for a refund.
